General Workshop Registration Form- Updated July 2018

  • Early Childhood Development Support Centre Workshop Guidelines

    The following guidelines must be followed:
  •  One participant per registration form
  •  Fill out the entire form
  •  Pre-registration AND payment are to be received by us at least TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE (unless otherwise noted), not simply postmarked by the deadline.
  •  Send form and payment information to us by mail, fax or email
  •  Registrations cannot be processed, nor spaces held, unless the above guidelines are followed.
  •  Cancellations must be processed before the workshop occurs.
  • Therefore, to get a workshop credit, please contact us at least 2 weeks (14 days) prior to a workshop if you are unable to attend.
  • NOTE: We must sometimes cancel a workshop if there is a lack of participation and depending on the facilitators this may be done more than 2 weeks in advance. Please be sure to register as soon as possible to ensure that you will have a spot in the workshop and check for your workshop’s deadline.

Mental Health First Aid - Expression of interest - Yarmouth

Provided we have the numbers we would like to coordinate a Mental Health First Aid Workshop. Please contact us if you are interested with your preference of Saturday & Sunday or two consecutive Saturdays. Workshop is 12 PD hours.

Participants will learn how to provide intial help to people who are showing signs of a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Suitable for school administrators, parents, caregivers, nursing home adminstrators and others with an interest in mental health issues.

Please note that there will not be a Spring Conference this year. We are planning a conference for the Fall. Please stay tuned for more information.

The Early Childhood Development Support Centre, Burridge Campus services the Early Learning and Child Care Community in the Southwestern region from Lunenburg County around to Digby County.

The centre has been in operation since March 2003 and we are located on the main floor next to the day care in room A116 at the NSCC Burridge Campus.

We provide resources, training opportunities and community events that promote the awareness of current trends and issues related to quality child care for the Early Childhood Education sector, students, parents and the community. Workshops are held throughout the region in various communities including: Digby, Yarmouth, Shelburne,Bridgewater and Lunenburg.
